Appointed by the Catholic Archbishop of Singapore, ACMI's objective is to give migrants a sense of belonging and security through acts of compassion such as befriending, hospital visits, providing food and shelter, skills training, legal aid, information and referrals. Our beneficiaries are foreign domestic workers, construction workers, students, migrant spouses and local employers, regardless of religion.
To advocate and bring awareness to migrants, itinerants and employers by uncovering and providing research in order to solve the exploitation of migrant workers and itinerant
people.
We have a dream that one day all people will live in a world where they will not be judged by:
the colour of their skin their financial status their educational / professional ability
their religion BUT by the content of their character.
(adapted from Martin Luther King’s ”I have a dream”)
“My friend, you have done faithful work in looking after these brothers and sisters, even though they were complete strangers to you. They are a proof to the whole Church of your charity and it would be a very good thing if you could help them on their journey in a way that God would approve.” 3 John 1:5-7
